Raised in Richmond, Virginia, in the city's East End, Zeke discovered photography at his older brother's elbow in the early 1970's. Hogan would allow Zeke to work the timer in the makeshift darkroom and then later remove the exposed photo paper from the water rinse tray and place on the dryer to create the finished product. A love for capturing and printing images was born when a black and white photography course was offered at Mosby Middle School.
Fast forward a couple of decades and Zeke's images have been published in the Richmond News Leader, the Richmond Free Press, and VAVibe magazine; they have found homes on the desks, shelves, and mantles of numerous homes in the Richmond area. It gives Zeke a warm feeling to know that a moment in time that he captured, is a precious keepsake for someone and their family.
